UPDATE - MARCH 26
Yulia is now on bail - but it's not all over yet.
On 20.02.26, Yulia was released from HMP Styal until her trial later this year. Whilst this has been a huge win, we must still focus on her needs and those of her co-defendants.
Following the trauma of being imprisoned for so long, and the uncertainty of what is yet to come, it is not possible for her to work.
It is possible she could still be sentenced, in spite of already spending nearly two years on remand.
If you can, please keep supporting Yulia until the trial is finally over.
IN PRISON,
WITHOUT TRIAL -
FOR SAYING NO TO GENOCIDE.
Yulia spent 15 months on remand in HMP Bronzefield and HMP Styal following a violent raid and arrest in November 2024. This state repression tore her away from her home and her community in Manchester.
Yulia is due to stand trial in June 2026. The Crown Prosecution Service is using anti-terror laws to make an example of those who disagree with the actions of Israel. We must show that we are against this.

UK PRISON AND LAW
According to the Prison Reform Trust in April 2025, 26% of women in prison are on remand - with only 32% of this population then being sentenced.
According to Brainkind, 62% of women in prison with a brain injury sustained it through domestic violence. A finding by the University of Glasgow showed that 78% of women in prison have a brain injury, mostly from domestic violence.
Paul O'Connell discusses the 'siege architecture' created in the UK, the legal changes to protest law, and state attempts to remove protest in all but name.
